2007 BMW X5 Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does the 2007 BMW X5 third row seating option look like? How
many people can it hold comfortably?
The
third row seating option is shown in the photo on the right. The
seat will fold down when not in use so it will not limit your cargo
space when not in use. The third row seating option is best used
for smaller adults and children. The guidelines state that people
under 5 foot 4 inches tall will be comfortable. However, in our
experience we see our customers using the third seat for children only.
The third row seating option lists for $1,200.
2. What is the difference in horsepower between the
2007 X5 3.0si and
the 2007 X5 4.8i?
The
eight cylinder 4.8i engine
produces 350 horsepower
at 6300 rpm, and 350 lb-ft torque at 3400 rpm.
The six cylinder
3.0-liter dual
overhead cam (DOHC), 24-valve inline engine produces 260-horsepower with
composite magnesium/aluminum engine block, Valvetronic, and Double-VANOS
steplessly variable valve timing.
So with the eight cylinder model you get an additional 90 horsepower,
about a 30% improvement over the six cylinder model.
3. If I want the integrated DVD player for rear viewing, do I
order the technology package?

No. The DVD player is a separate option and it is not included
the the technology package. The DVD Player and
BMW X5 rear seat entertainment package is option

Total driving
control meets total tune control with your fully integrated BMW iPod
Adaptor. Shift between tracks and up to five BMW playlists and adjust
volume without taking your eyes off the road or your ears off the music.
Select "Scan" to preview tracks or "Random" to shuffle your playlist or
entire iPod, and let the music take you to unexpected places. The
photo shown is not for the 2007 Model. For the 2007 BMW X5 the
iPod plugs into the armrest storage compartment.
